Otto and Willy Gruber founded a joint company. First, the brothers trade in screws and small metal parts, but soon discover a real market niche by visiting an old tire vulcanization plant. Soon after, they start to produce, incl. inner tube patches, tire patches.
During product testing in 1938, Willy Gruber said, “These things are really tip top!” – and created an idea and brand that later conquered the market. Ten years later, the millionth inner tube patch was produced at the Gruber brothers’ factory!
