Bicycle Frame Painting in Warsaw

Would you like to refresh your bike or give it a completely new look?
At Wygodny Rower on Stawki 3 in Warsaw, we offer professional bicycle frame painting and powder coatingservices.
It’s the perfect way to restore your bike, protect the frame against corrosion, and enjoy a fresh color for many more seasons.

This service is available seasonally – from October 1st to January 31st.

We paint steel and aluminum frames, as well as metal components such as handlebars, rims, cranks, chainrings, chain guards, fenders, and brackets.
You can choose any color from the RAL palette, with optional glossy, matte, or pearl finishes.

How our bicycle painting process works

Step 1. Drop off your bike and get a price estimate

You can bring your complete bike to us — we’ll take care of disassembly, surface preparation, and reassembly after painting.
The cost of disassembly, preparation, and reassembly starts from 300 PLN (the final price depends on the bike model and complexity).

We paint only steel and aluminum bikes.

Step 2. Preparing the frame for painting

If you prefer to prepare the frame yourself — that’s fine.
Here are some important tips:

  • The frame must be completely stripped of all components (no cables, housing, or plastic parts).

  • Remove cable guides, mounts, and pressed plastic elements — the powder coating process involves high temperatures and could damage them.

  • Remove all metal fittings or screws, as they might get covered with paint and become difficult to remove later.

  • Make sure to remove the bearing race from the fork steerer.

  • To protect small threaded holes (for racks, shifters, etc.), you can insert expendable screws that will protect the threads during painting.

Proper preparation ensures a smooth and even finish on your repainted frame.

Step 3. Sandblasting and surface cleaning

Before painting, we remove old paint layers and rust using sandblasting.
For aluminum frames, we first strip the paint chemically and then, if needed, lightly sandblast the surface to ensure perfect paint adhesion.

Step 4. Powder coating the frame

This is the key stage of the process.
The chosen color from the RAL palette is applied electrostatically and then cured in an oven at around 180°C.
Powder coating provides even coverage, excellent durability against scratches and weather conditions, and a flawless appearance that lasts for years.

Step 5. Reassembly and collection

After painting, we reassemble the bike and make sure everything runs smoothly.
We also recommend replacing worn-out components such as cables, housing, or tires at this stage.
The exact cost of service and assembly is determined individually when the bike is delivered.

The typical turnaround time is up to 14 business days, though complex frames may take a bit longer.
